Step into the confessional, ladies and gents! It's that magical time again:
Time to tell the truth!
Here are my shameful truths from this week:
1) I want an e-reader REALLY badly, even though I can already read books on my i-phone. I want more tech! MOOOORE! As if the piles of books around my house sitting unread aren't enough entertainment. However, I refuse to buy an e-reader until I can see pretty bookcovers on it in color, dangit. I'm lustful AND picky at the same time!
2) I think there is something really wrong with me. These past couple of weeks I've been craving vegetables every single day. Last night, I had some steamed broccoli over brown rice with soy sauce and actually mumbled, "mmmm, flavor!" to myself. What is happening to me? Is it some kind of alien virus? O_o
3) Sometimes at work, I go a whole week without washing out my mug. I just swoosh water in it, and then keep filling it with tea until it gets those sexy brown rings. I'm awesome like that.
4) I mostly want an e-reader so I can read books with semi-embarrasing covers (like This One) out in public without anyone knowing. Paranormal romance, here I come!
5) I think Bacon-flavored Vodka sounds like a great idea! Seriously--best bloody mary ever, right??
6) I got really excited and made a ton of progress on the last edits for Legacy of the Empress last night, but then couldn't get to sleep because my brain was busy. It was a rough night. My confession? I regret nothing :)! I'll sleep when I'm dead.
What do YOU have to confess this week?

You should have seen the looks I was getting reading that book at the gym today. Hilarious.
Hahaha! I KNEW it! ;)
That book looks awesome. :D And I'm totally going to buy it and read it on my kindle. Bwahahaha! And dude, craving weird things (which veggies totally count as weird things), usually prompts me to run to the grocery store for one of those stick things that you pee on. ;)
Uh ohs O_o.
I love my Kindle, but the new Apple tablet (announcing today, btw) is looking awfully good, though probably not afforadable. Big Sigh. Oh, and I love Kindle on IPhone for those times when I don't have my Kindle with me, but want to read. Everything syncs up.
I'm right there with you on the Bacon Flavored Vodka. Talk about an awesome Bloody Mary!!! BTW, have you tried Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix?? It's the absolute best!
I do the same thing with my coffee mug at work, and my stainless steel drinking container that I put crystal light in. I know, gross, but hey, bacterias good for us, right?? Right??
Great post, and thanks for the insights into your life. : )

Woo hoo! Great work on your story. My mind was busy keeping me up last night too after I wrote...
Can you pass that alien virus to me? Not the soy part, but the vegetable-loving part. *grin*
Isn't that why e readers were invented? So we could read trash and say it's Austin or Bronte or Capote?
My confession for the week? Hmmm... does wearing my pj's under my sweats ALL DAY count?
Scott: I haven't tried zing zang, and now I'll have to track it down! :D You can't go wrong w/ a good bloody mary. Also, bacteria DOES make us strong! Our immune systems must be hard core by now ;).
Nisa: I will try to mail you the virus, but I don't know the postal regulations on things like that ;).
Tess: Yes, I think that's exactly why e-readers were invented! Also, I'm completely jealous of your life now. I want to wear pjs and sweats all day!
You know you can make your own bacon flavored liquor? It's pretty easy, actually sort of like the enfleurage method of perfume making.
Cook some (Kneuske's applewood smoked) bacon, strain the fat, and then just pour it into your favorite unflavored vodka--although bourbon also works very well. Keep the bottle in a cool dark place for a week, then strain out the bacon fat, et voila! Bacon flavored vodka.
We did it around Mardi Gras last year. Just use high quality bacon and vodka for best results.
Enjoy!
My Tuesday truth, even though it's Weds, now would be that I was late to work today because I got up and started writing instead of getting dressed. I was sitting in my underwear with one leg in my pants for half an hour while I drank coffee and wrote, getting later by the minute. And I didn't care.
Vegetables, ereaders, edits! You're a machine, Rebecca!
My confession... um, let's see. I stay up too late, read too much and eat out at least once a day. Is that bad?
i was with you on the ereader but you lost me on the bacon vodka :)
