Work In Progress Wednesday!

This past week I actually took some time off both from blogging and writing to recharge my batteries :).

It felt great, and now I feel like I'm ready to really nail my edits and finish Legacy of the Empress once and for all.

At this point, it's a lot of minor word adjustments, killing the last bits of passive voice, and fixing places where I repeat words. So, wish me luck this week, and good luck to you!

How have your week's been so far? Any progress?

Best of Luck!

I'm in the process of doing a bit of a revamp on the first few chapters of a project, before I dive totally into the second draft edit/revise phase. Oh, and I must finish my short story for The Literary Lab's Genre Wars contest - thankfully, Robyn at Putting Pen to Paper agreed to crit the first two drafts of the story. Then, I have to do the synopsis for the project pretty much ready to query. Oh, and I started work on a new project - just the basics: characters, setting, basic premise.

So, it's been a busy week so far, and looks to get busier.

Lol, that cartoon is awesome. :D And I've been recharging my batteries as well, which really means I've been sitting around watching reruns of Criminal Minds and hours of HGTV. I haven't watched TV in about 6 months, and it's pretty great. But I'll soon be bored with it and jump back into writing. :D

Passive voice = shudders. I'm terrible for that. But I'm improving :)

Writing = life been a mixed bag, so not a lot has happend, but my Muse is throwing suitably dirty looks at me so I'll be writing tomorrow onwards. Or else.

It's amazing what some time off can do. I choked on NaNo and I'm actually glad. Because now I'll be ready to revise (again) next week so I can get my book where it needs to be for, my, uh, agent. Holy crap. That feels weird to type.

Good luck, Rebecca! I know you can nail your edits.
